Winter Smoothie Recipe
It’s that time of year, when winter is almost over and spring is just weeks away. BUT, viruses are still lurking and everyone seems to need a little extra something in their life to keep the germs and seasonal depression away. Am I right?! Well, let me introduce you to this insanely tasty winter smoothie. This winter smoothie recipe should help those who are searching for something that not only tastes incredible, but wards off germs too. 🤩 It has so many immune boosting ingredients in it, like ginger, pomegranate juice, mango and grapefruit to name a few! And, of course turmeric. I personally have been drinking this daily for a few weeks now and legit crave it, because it’s really delicious and healthy. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
I hope you love it too!
Fresh Grapefruit Juice Smoothie
One of the things I love most about this smoothie is that it has fresh grapefruit juice in it! I basically chop fresh grapefruit on a cutting board and then toss it in the blender with the other ingredients, but if you only have grapefruit juice on hand, that works too! Just substitute approximately 1/4c of juice for the whole grapefruit.
Grapefruit Pomegranate Smoothie
Another ingredient in this smoothie that you’re gonna love is pomegranate juice. It gives it a delicious kick, and adds a lot of nutrients that will keep your immune system optimized and, let’s be honest, makes it look especially pretty too. 😍 Just be careful adding the juice to the blender not to spill it, because it can stain surfaces!
Grapefruit Raspberry Smoothie
Now, if you love berries, you’re gonna be happy to know that this winter smoothie recipe includes raspberries too! It really makes this smoothie even healthier and, of course adds a ton of flavor! I personally would love to drink this in the summer when raspberries are in season too, but of course you can add frozen raspberries like I did to to this smoothie and it will taste just as good!
Fresh or Frozen Mangos
As you can see from the photos I added frozen mangos to this smoothie too, which adds a lot of nutrients like vitamin C. Of course, if mangos are in season where you live, you can definitely add fresh mangos too! This smoothie really packs in a lot of delicious and healthy options!
Winter Smoothie Recipe Blender Tips
I add frozen ginger cubes (which I buy from Target), cayenne pepper and turmeric to this smoothie and feel a heck of a lot healthier for doing so. If you prefer fresh ginger that’s OK, just add it at the end so the small ingredients don’t get stuck in the bottom of the blender! You always want to try to add the largest ingredients first and then layer the smaller ingredients on top so everything blends well.
OK, I imagine you probably want that recipe now, am I right? I know a lot of people really love this smoothie for it’s health benefits, so you can find all the ingredients below, but remember to save it for another day because, trust me when I tell you, this is a winter smoothie recipe you’re gonna wanna make more than once! It’s that good. And healthy too! I can’t encourage you enough to drink this throughout the winter months when viruses are at an all time high, to protect your immune system! 🙌🏼
