Wild Dunes resort on Isle of Palms, SC is just a short 12 mile drive from Charleston, SC on, you guessed it, Isle of Palms. The Wild Dunes Community is located on the eastern tip of the Isle of Palms surrounded by the amazing sights of the Intracoastal Waterway, panoramic views of the Atlantic Ocean and breathtaking sunrises and sunsets. The resort itself is perfectly tucked away between the Atlantic Ocean and the Intracoastal Waterway and features a beautiful beach, luxury golf courses, tennis, a private marina, and endless activities — both on and off the water.
If you’re the kind of traveler that desires a private resort with direct access to the ocean with plenty of on site activities to choose from, Wild Dunes Resort — a 1,600-acre beachfront property — is a dream come true.
A beach resort unlike any other, Wild Dunes offers a variety of hotels and vacation rentals with breathtaking views, ample amenities and direct access to Isle of Palms beach. Wild Dunes Resort knows that no two trips (or travelers) are alike. So they created accommodations that work for every type of visitor. You can select from rooms and suites in the Boardwalk Inn, Residences at Sweetgrass, private condos or even beach house rentals. The Boardwalk Inn and Residences at Sweetgrass offer hotel-style accommodations complete with concierge and in-room services. And for those wanting a more hands-off experience, condos and home rentals are available, as well.
The Sweetgrass Inn is a high-end hotel, offering a luxury coastal chic lifestyle theme. Close to the beach and the Atlantic Ocean, the Boardwalk Inn is the original hotel, offering suites with a coastal modern experience. The Residences at Sweetgrass suites include kitchen areas.

At the Sweetgrass Inn, you’ll find the Laughing Gull Restaurant & Bar for drinks and food.

The island lifestyle means you can be as active or relaxed as you’d like. You can go fishing in Breach Inlet, parasailing along the beach or, simply curl up with a good novel while you take in the fresh ocean breeze.
